Soap opera star Melissa Claire Egan is a mother of two! The actress, most noteably known for portraying the role of Chelsea Lawson on Young and the Restless, has announced the arrival of her second baby with her husband Matt Katrosar. “We’re so happy to have you.”
The couple welcomed a baby boy, news that had shared alongside their pregnancy announcement earlier this year. Their little one arrived early, as he was due to be born in August, on July 14th. Melissa and Matt named their second son Jake Joseph Katrosar. “Welcome to the world sweet boy. A few weeks early, but we’re so happy to have you and call you ours and love you forever!”
Jake joins the family with the couple’s first child, a son named Caden Robert who was born in August 2021. When announcing her pregnancy, the All My Children alum had joked about her son’s having the same birth month. “Looks like we’re just destined to have August babies! So grateful and excited to be adding another cub to our family of Leo baby boys.” But, with Jake being born in July instead, his star sign will be Cancer.
The actress began dating the VP of Pluto TV in February 2011 and got engaged two years later. The couple tied the knot on July 26, 2014. For her husband’s birthday in March, the Holiday for Heroes star gushed, “Happy Birthday to this guy!!! My❤️. The greatest husband, Dad, guy, and best friend. We love you.”
