Model and entreprenuer Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, is a mom! The 27-year-old has announced the arrival of her first child with her partner RAC, a musician whose full name is André Allen Anjos.
To announce the news, Ireland shared a photo of herself holding her little on with RAC by her side. The new family sat together in a hospital bed. The couple welcomed a baby girl and chose to name her Holland. Ireland had revealed in January that she would choose this moniker for her little one. She shared on the Girlboss Radio podcast, “We’re naming her Holland. I’m Ireland, so another country name because we wanted to keep that consistent. And then I love the actress Holland Taylor. I’ve always loved that name since I was young, I just thought that was such a classy, beautiful name, so we’re going with Holland.”
Fellow celebrities wished Ireland congratulations in the comments of her post. Rumer Willis, another child to famous actors who also recently welcomed a child, wrote, “Omg omg hi sweet girl 😍 we can’t wait to squeeze you.” Actor William Baldwin, Ireland’s uncle, commented, “Welcome to the world Baby Girl Holland. We love you.” Singer Meghan Trainor, who is currently pregnant with her second child, wrote, “OMG YAYYYYYY CONGRATSSSSS MAMA😍”
During her appearance on the Girlboss Radio podcast earlier this year, Ireland also opened up about her feelings about motherhood. “What I’m most excited about is really more centered around a lot of things I really wanted in terms of stability as a child myself that I didn’t have. What’s kind of exciting is I get to raise this little human and do things completely differently than what I was taught was the norm. It’s cool that I get to unconditionally love this person and do my best to make her as equipped for this world and badass as possible.”
