Former professional beach volleyball athlete Morgan Miller (née Beck) announced earlier this month that she and her husband, alpine ski racer Bode Miller, were expecting their sixth child together. The couple revealed that this new baby will complete their family. Today, they’ve revealed the gender of their little one!
The family had a gender reveal party and, with all of their children close together, confetti popped over the family to reveal… it’s a girl! In her post, Morgan wrote, “There are no words to describe this moment. My heart is overflowing with joy and we are so excited to welcome a baby GIRL into the family in November!” Morgan also shared a video of the reveal and wrote, “I want to remember this moment forever.”
Bode has two children from two previous relationships: a daughter named Dace, 13, and a son named Nate, 8. Morgan and Bode share five children together. They have four sons: Nash, 6, Easton, 2, 18-month-old twins Asher and Aksel, and daughter Emeline, who the family affectionately call Emmy. In June 2018, Emmy passed away at 19 months old following an accidental drowning.
Since Emmy’s drowning, Morgan has become an advocate for swim and water safety for children. The couple even taught their twin sons at 7-months-old proper water safety through Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) self-rescue instruction. Both Morgan and Bode work to raise awareness for parents on teaching their own children how to stay safe in the water.
