Tennis superstar Naomi Osaka is a mom! The four-time Grand Slam champion has welcomed her first baby with her boyfriend, rapper Cordae. The “Gifted” rapper announced the couple welcomed their baby while performing in Calgary, with a source close to the couple later confirming the news.

Naomi and Cordae are reportedly parents to a baby girl! The source shared with PEOPLE that Naomi and her daughter “are doing well.” The little one’s name has not yet been revealed. In April, the tennis star gave some insight into how the couple were choosing a name when speaking with PEOPLE. “We have been discussing names. I would say that we are going for something more unique than traditional.”

Naomi and Cordae announced in January that they were expecting a baby together. “2023 will be a year that’ll be full of lessons for me,” the athlete shared in her announcement post, “and I hope I’ll see you guys in the start of the next one cause I’ll be at Aus 2024.” She also seemingly addressed welcoming a child before marriage, sharing, “I don’t think there’s a perfectly correct path to take in life, but I always felt that if you move forward with good intentions, you’ll find your way eventually.”

During her interview with PEOPLE in April, “The Way Champs Play” author shared how she was feeling about becoming a mother. “I would say for me, I just want to be the best version of myself. Obviously, I’ve never been a mother before so I’m taking it day-by-day and just trying to be someone that my son or daughter will be proud of.”

Congratulations to Naomi and Cordae on the news of their first baby! We look forward to learning the name they chose for their daughter, should they choose to share it.
