Celebrity couple Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have announced the arrival of their first child! The couple, who did not previously reveal they were expecting, shared a joint statement on their social media pages to reveal the news.
Both Nick, 29, and Priyanka, 39, shared text-based images that read, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.” The couple tag one another in their captions and added a simple heart.
TMZ has reported further details regarding the couple’s newborn. According to their sources, the couple welcomed a baby girl last Saturday at a Southern California hospital. There is no word on what the couple has chosen to name their daughter.
This exciting news comes just days after the actress discussed her desire to grow her family in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine. “They’re a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.”
Nick and Priyanka began dating in 2018, a year and a half after the Jonas Brother member slid into the Quantico star’s DMs. In 2017, they maintained that they were just friends, but officially began dating in May 2018. Their relationship moved rather quickly, with the couple becoming engaged in July, just two months after dating. Less than six months later, the couple tied the knot in a lavish 3-day celebration that combined both Christian and Hindu marriage traditions.
