Actor Nico Tortorella is growing his family! The City on Fire star and his spouse Bethany C. Meyers are expecting their second baby together. The news comes just over one year after the couple welcomed their first baby together.
The couple’s pregnancy comes just a few months after they moved their family from New York to Florida. The Younger star revealed that they conceived their second baby the day they arrived in their new home. “The very day we arrived at our new house, we made a baby. Really, it’s true. It’s funny how, when you commit to dreams and embrace changes, miracles unfold.” Before welcoming their daughter Kilmer Dove in 2023, the couple was open about their struggles to conceive. They tried for two years and suffered a miscarriage before Bethany got pregnant. The couple’s second baby is due to arrive in October.
In her announcement post, Bethany reflected on her journey to conceive Kilmer and how her second pregnancy has been so far. “It took years to conceive our first, and this baby made its way into our lives as soon as we touched down at the ocean, which still feels completely surreal. Already, I see the personality differences between our first and second. Which makes me feel like so much of fertility and family expansion is divine timing. We did all the earthly tactics to get our babies, while our babies did all the heavenly ones. Together, we combine forces to prepare for their grand entrance into the world.”
The I Am More Than My Body author went on to share a message to others who have struggled to grow a family writing, “I want to acknowledge that when you’ve experienced pregnancy loss or have struggled to conceive, pregnancy announcements always feel bittersweet, sometimes even your own. It’s not lost on me that some people reading this are still hoping for their first while I announce my second. There are never any words that make it better, so I won’t try to offer them. I will just let you know that you are seen and your sorrow is held, even in my joy.”
The Walking Dead: World Beyond star’s announcement falls on another milestone day as his children’s book “Olivette Is You” launches today. Nico also has an album coming out this Friday called “Born.” He teased, “My album ‘Born.’ drops this Friday, complete with a very special music video all about being pregnant.”
