Country musician Parker McCollum is a dad! The “Burn It Down” singer’s wife Hallie Ray Light announced the birth of the couple’s first baby in a joint Instagram post. She revealed her baby’s name and birth date.

Parker and Hallie welcomed a baby boy on August 8th. They revealed the sex of their baby in February, one week after sharing they were pregnant. The couple chose to name their son Major Yancey Tyler McCollum. Major shares one of his middle names with his dad, which is also Parker’s mom’s maiden name. When the couple announced their baby’s sex, Parker wrote name ideas in the comments of Hallie’s post. Coincidentally, each of the baby’s names were thrown in as ideas.

In the comments of the couple’s post, the new dad gushed, “Mom & Dad forever! I love you Hallie Ray and I love our Major Man!” Friends of the couple took to the post to celebrate their new arrival. Fellow country singer Priscilla Block wrote, “HALLIE, Why do you like a damn model after giving birth. I mean WOW!!! Congrats to yall both! Can’t wait to meet baby major!” Brittany Mahomes, who is currently pregnant with her third baby with NFL star Patrick Mahomes, gushed, “Ahhhh congrats guys!!!.”

The “Pretty Heart” singer met Hallie through mutual friends and began dating in 2019. In July 2021, the couple got engaged and went on to tie the knot in March 2022 at Boxwood Manor in Tomball, Texas. For their anniversary this year, the singer wrote to his wife, “Happy Anniversary Hallie Ray! My best friend till the end. 2 years down and 100 to go! Love you forever!”

Congratulations to Parker and Hallie on the arrival of baby Major!
