Actress Rose McIver is going to be a mom! The Ghosts star made a surprise pregnancy reveal at the 2024 Golden Globes in Los Angeles, where she served as a presenter. Rose is expecting her first baby with her husband George Byrne, an artist, just following the one-year anniversary of their wedding.
The iZombie alum donned a pale pink Gucci dress and cradled her baby bump while walking the red carpet at the event. While she went on to share the news to her Instagram page, she didn’t reaveal any details about her pregnancy, including her due date. Rose’s pregnancy news comes one year after she tied the knot with George Byrne. The couple began dating in 2017 and tied the knot one year ago in January 2023.
The A Christmas Prince franchise star and George actually eloped for their nuptials in New York, saying their initial “I dos” at a courthouse. The couple went on to have a traditional wedding ceremony surrounded by family and friends in Rose’s home country New Zealand. The actress discussed her wedding last May on The Talk sharing, “We got married in January, January 2nd. It was, yeah, really lovely. We eloped… It was so nice.” As for how she spent time after her New Zealand wedding, Rose recalled on the show, “It was so good to be home. It was very off grid…we spent a lot of time on a farm in Tasmania with my in-laws. which was great. But very little hair brushing went on, or any sort of self-care.”
