British funny man Russell Brand and his girlfriend, Laura Gallacher, are expecting their first child this fall.  The couple have had an on-off relationship since 2007 (it was definitely off during Brand’s brief marriage to Katy Perry), and have been reconciled since 2015.

Gallacher, a former food blogger and restaurant manager, and Brand have maintained a low-key relationship, though she comes from a well known British family. Her father, Bernard Gallacher, OBE, is a well-known Scottish golfer and her sister, Kirsty Gallacher, is a TV presenter.

The Sun reported, “Russell is absolutely made up. Most of his closest friends have children and he was desperate to start a family. He and Laura are thrilled to bits at the prospect of becoming parents. They have shared their happiness with close friends and family.”

This will be the first child for Brand and Gallacher.
