Professional swimmer Ryan Lochte is officially a father of three! The Olympic athlete welcomed his third baby with his wife Kayla Rae Reid on June 21st. “[We’re] thrilled. We are so excited.”
The couple, who announced their pregnancy in December, shared news of their baby’s arrival exclusively with US Weekly, revealing they welcomed a daughter. The couple named their second daughter Georgia June Lochte and shared the name was “easily” agreed upon. While the couple didn’t share the inspiration for the first name, Kayla did elaborate on Georgia’s middle name. “Her middle name has a play on the timing of her birth and a family member.”
Ryan and Kayla share two other children together: a son named Caiden Zane, 5, and a daughter named Liv Rae, 3. Coincidentally, all of the couple’s children have June birthdays. Caiden was born on June 8, 2017, Liv was born June 17, 2019, and now Georgia with a June 21 birthday. In her interivew with US Weekly, Kayla shared her excitement for growing her family. “Ryan is such a great dad; I can’t wait to see him as a father to 3. He’s so great with kids in general, they always gravitate towards him. I am excited as well, [but] I am more of the worrier, the strict one, the not-as-fun parent, let’s just say. It makes for a good balance.”
Ryan and the former Playboy model first began dating in 2016. They wed in August 2018 at a Florida courthouse before celebrating with a large ceremony the next month in September. The couple enjoyed an intimate outdoor wedding at Morrow Ranch in Palm Springs, California.
