Tennis pro Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian have added a bundle of joy to their family! The couple has announced the birth of their second baby together and have revealed the name of their newborn.
Serena first announced her pregnancy in an iconic fashion during this year’s Met Gala, where she wore a fitted mermaid gown that accentuated her growing baby bump. Earlier this month, the couple revealed they were expecting a baby girl in a surprise drone display orchestrated by Alexis. Now, the couple’s second daughter has arrived! The 23-time Grand Slam champion shared the family of four’s first picture together with everyone wearing huge smiles and in the caption, revealed the newborn’s name: Adira River Ohanian.

Adira joins the family with Serena and Alexis’s first baby, daughter Alexis Olympia. For his post, Alexis shared the same family picture as Serena but also included two pictures of daughter Olympia with her new baby sister. He gushed about his family in his post writing, “Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT. Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter 🙏 I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.” He then shared a quote that aligned with Adira’s middle name: “Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.”
According to Alexis, Olympia has been eager to welcome a sibling to the family. He recently shared with PEOPLE, “No one’s more excited than her. She’s been wanting this. She’s been praying and asking about this for quite some time, so she’s very ready.”
