Actress Shay Mitchell, widely known for playing the role of Emily Fields on the television series Pretty Little Liars just announced she is expecting! Mitchell posted a beautiful image of her posing topless with her bare baby bump on Instagram.
Mitchell, who made her most recent television appearance playing Peach Salinger in You, made her announcement just three days after revealing a new project she has been working on. She posted an image on Instagram of a fashionable black diaper bag stuffed with baby essentials. It appears Mitchell is introducing a baby line to her travel bag company Béis. The announcement did have many wondering if she herself was pregnant. Now we know!
Earlier this year, Mitchell got raw with her Instagram followers by sharing that she suffered a miscarriage last year. Mitchell posted an ultrasound image on her IG story with the heartbreak emoji. Mitchell shared her story right after the new year and received overwhelming support. Mitchell is one of many other celebrities who have shared their miscarriage story which has proved very uplifting and supportive for the thousands of other women who suffer from miscarriage each year.
Mitchell, who has a popular channel on YouTube, also posted a pregnancy announcement video. In the vlog style video, Shay announces her pregnancy to the people close to her and shares why she decided to wait to reveal her pregnancy. Following her miscarriage last year, she wanted to keep it a secret until she was ready to tell the world.
Mitchell keeps her dating life pretty well under wraps. Rumors swirled around earlier this year that she was dating television host and music journalist Matte Babel. Their relationship was more or less confirmed in February when they were photographed at dinner together. It appears that Babel is, in fact, the father, as he appeared in Shay’s YouTube video.
We’re so excited for Shay to welcome her rainbow baby and look forward to watching her become the mother she’s dreamed of being.
