Singer-songwriter Leona Lewis is preparing for a new role: motherhood! The X Factor alum is reportedly expecting her first child with her husband Dennis Jauch. A source close to the couple revealed their pregnancy news and shared that Leona and Dennis would be formally announcing the news later this month.
The source shared that “Leona and Dennis are absolutely over the moon. They have passed the 12-week milestone and told their family and friends at the beginning of the year. They can’t wait to welcome their new arrival and to become a family of three.” Leona rose to fame in 2006 when she won X Factor that season. The singer has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide and is notably known for her song “Bleeding Love” from her debut album “Spirit.”
Leona and Dennis met in 2010 when he was working as a dancer on her Labyrinth tour. They began dating soon after. The couple became engaged in November 2018. The “Fire Under My Feet” singer gushed about her engagement on Instagram at the time writing, “My heart is singing the happiest song it’s ever sung! I’m bursting with joy and overcome with emotion that I get to embark on this new adventure with my best friend, my partner in crime, my ride or die! @dennisjauch I can’t wait to be your wife.”
The couple tied the knot in August 2019 in a lavish wedding at Sting’s 16th-century luxury estate in Tuscany. Leona shared about her special day on Instagram writing, “I will cherish this day for a lifetime. 9 years ago this amazing man walked into my life and last weekend we said ‘I do’ surrounded by the people we love. From our family-style dinner in the vineyards of Tuscany to our ceremony in the small chapel that sheltered us from the storm outside to the all-night singing & dance party, every moment was a gift of love.”
Congratulations to Leona and Dennis on growing their family! We wish them all the best as they prepare to welcome their first child into the world.
