Model Sofia Richie is a mom! The media personality and her husband Elliot Grainge have announced the birth of their first baby together. “Best day of my life.”
Sofia and Elliot announced in January that they were pregnant and also revealed at the time that they were expecting a baby girl. Sofia shared a black and white image of her newborn with a close up of her feet to share the news. The couple’s daughter arrived on May 20th and they chose to name her Eloise Samantha Grainge.
When Sofia, the daughter of musician Lionel Richie, first met the music executive, they maintained a platonic friendship before they became romantic. Sofia has explained, “When we started being romantic, he just gave me a different feeling. It was a feeling of safety It was the feeling of really being appreciated.” The model was confident Elliot would become her husband explaining, “I knew when we started dating that he was my husband. It wasn’t a ‘Do you think one day he’ll propose?’ It was like, ‘This is my husband — 100 percent.’ I felt this love for him that I never felt ever in my life.”
Sofia married Elliot last in April at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. On their first anniversary last month, the model marked the occasion with a throwback picture from their wedding alongside the caption, “1 year ago today! I want to marry you a million times over again.”
Congratulations to Sofia and Elliot on the arrival of baby Eloise! We wish them lots of love as they embrace their new roles as parents.
