Earlier this month, influencer Sophia Grace Brownlee announced the birth of her second baby, who she shared with a partner whose identity has not been shared. She welcomed a baby girl on December 29th. Now, Sophia has revealed her daughter’s name.
In a video shared to Sophia’s YouTube channel, the influencer, who rose to fame following her 2011 appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, revealed the name of her daughter with pink letter balloons. She chose the name Athena Rose. Sophia shared that she chose the moniker for its meaning. Athena is a Greek name that means “goddess of wisdom.” She continued, “I just love how the name sounds. I think it’s so classy and pretty for a girl of any age.” For Athena’s middle name, Sophia chose rose because it’s her favorite flower and that the name matched beautifully with her first name.
In her video, Sophia discussed how her first child is handling having a new sibling around. The influencer welcomed her first baby, a boy named River, in February 2023, a year and a half before revealing she was expecting again. “He’s become maybe a little bit jealous,” she admitted. She’s working on making him feel more involved to help combat that, but that she knows it’s “totally normal.” Aside from a little bit of jealousy, River is very interested in his little sister. “He strokes her hair and kisses her on the head. It’s so cute.”
