Legendary Spanish soccer player Iker Casillas and his wife Sara Carbonero have welcomed their second child, a son named Lucas. Carbonera shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of the newborn’s hand with the caption, “Welcome to our world, Lucas! We met you yesterday and couldn’t be more happy. #lifeisincredible #weare4”
The couple, who married in a secret ceremony earlier this year, welcomed their first son, Martin, in 2014. Casillas and Carbonero, a former sports journalist, are big celebrities in Spain, but are known for shunning the spotlight. They met during The Confederations Cup in 2009 and caused a media frenzy when they kissed on camera after a 2010 interview.
Casillas plays as a goalkeeper for Portuguese club Porto and the Spain National team. The 35-year-old is considered one of the greatest goalies of all time. According to Wikipedia, Casillas is the fifth-most capped male footballer in history and the most capped European player.
Up next, Casillas will begin to prepare to help the Spain National team defend their Euro title for the third consecutive year at Euro 2016.
