Meteorologist Dylan Dreyer is forecasting showers – baby showers, that is!  The Today show correspondent and her husband, cameraman Brian Fichera, are expecting their first child – a baby boy!

Dreyer made the announcement during a Fishbowl segment on Today, just days after her co-worker, Savannah Guthrie, announced that she was expecting her child.  Drawing a question from the bowl, she feigned annoyance when she pulled the same question Guthrie had answered days before. “Are you pregnant?” she read aloud, “You guys need some new jokes.” She showed her colleagues the paper, “Look! It really says, ‘Are you pregnant?’ And yes, I am!”

After cheers and hugs from her fellow hosts, Dreyer brought out a balloon and popped it to reveal blue confetti – it’s a boy!

Dreyer and Guthrie are both due in December.  Following the announcement, a crew member delivered a tray full of chocolate milkshakes to the hosts.  The senior correspondent told Dreyer, “I’ve been craving a chocolate milkshake and I thought maybe you were, too.” As the news team raised their milkshakes for a toast, Dreyer teased Guthrie, “I’ll race you to the delivery room!”
