Stevin John, a YouTuber known as his alias Blippi in his educational videos for toddlers and young children, announced in October that he was expecting his first child with his partner Alyssa Ingham. Today, the couple revealed the gender of their first child!
It’s a boy! The couple was dressed in shirts with matching fonts that read “Dada” and “Mama.” They also each held a onesie that read “Baby.” They used blue smoke to reveal their son’s gender and also shot off fireworks for the exciting news. “OH BOY! IT’S A BOY! Lil Baby Blip’ coming soon!” the Blippi’s Treehouse star captioned his photo.
The news of the couple’s pregnancy came just a few months after they announced their engagement. Stevin popped the question in the summer of 2021 on a stunning beach. “I got upgraded from boyfriend to fiancé!” he shared in his post at the time. “[Alyssa] I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with you!” The couple has been together since 2015.
Stevin has risen to fame over the last several years by portraying the fictional character Blippi in educational videos geared towards younger children. He got started by creating YouTube videos but now creates content across platforms like Hulu, Amazon Kids, and more. Stevin opened up about his successful online persona in 2018. “Blippi is continuing to grow because these children really love Blippi, and now their parents are talking about it and spreading the love,” he shared with The Spinoff. “I believe that children are super smart and they have good intuition. I think they can tell that Blippi is genuine and I have fun doing what I do. That’s one huge thing I have that big companies just can’t hire an actor to do.”
Congratulations again to Stevin and Alyssa on growing their family! We wish them all the best as they prepare to welcome their son into the world.
