Let me preface this review by saying that my son is an incredibly stubborn human being, and is still not potty trained at nearly age 3. I have tried all kinds of techniques (and bribes…) with no success. So, after taking a break for a couple of months (for my own sanity), I decided to give it another go with the Bambino Mio Potty Training Bundle.
When the bundle arrived, I was impressed by the packaging and quality of the items inside. The bundle includes several fun items to inspire your child to “go”! I received a small potty, a potty seat for the toilet, a step stool, and 3 reusable (and adorable) potty training underpants. The bundle also came with a training chart and cute stickers. My son was immediately intrigued by the bright outer space print on the underpants. For the record, he has never really shown interest in “big boy underwear”, but he was so excited to try these on, pull them up himself, and prance around in them.
After restarting this journey, these new items have sparked my son’s interest. He has had some success with vocalizing his need to go, and has used the little potty on occasion. I haven’t been able to motivate him with the stickers and chart (honestly, most of the stickers wound up on my legs). I try to use a more relaxed, go-at-his-pace approach, so we talk about it a lot and I don’t pressure him too much. He understands what it means but isn’t quite ready. So, we are not totally there yet, but I attribute that to his lack of readiness rather than the items in the bundle.
Overall, everything in the bundle is a great quality, and I appreciated the neutral colors of the potty and accessories. The underpants have held up really well and seem to be super comfortable for my son. They contain the mess and still allow him to feel it. My only complaint about this set is that the potty seat for the toilet did not fit any of the toilets in my home – luckily I already had a couple that I could continue to use. But otherwise, I am so happy with this bundle and can’t wait to finally be finished with this seemingly never-ending journey! Thanks, Bambino Mio!
The Bambino Mio Potty Training Bundle is available for $34.99 on Amazon.
