Entertainment journalist Jason Kennedy and his wife Lauren Scruggs are adding another bundle of joy to their family! One year after welcoming their first child following over 4 years of infertility issues, the couple has revealed they are pregnant with their second child.
The couple posted a video on Instagram to share the news, which featured a collage of videos and images of the family learning they are growing. Jason and Lauren’s first child – son Ryver Rhodes, who was born in April 2022 – was featured prominently in the post. “This was a major surprise and the sweetest plot twist,” the couple wrote in the caption, “I cannot wait to watch little Ryver be a big brother.” The due date of their little one was not revealed in the post.
Prior to welcoming Ryver, the couple had been very open about their infertility struggles. They tried to start a family for over 4 years before Lauren became pregnant with Ryver, who was conceived through in-vitro fertilization (IVF). This time, it appears their second child was conceived without medical intervention.
The TODAY Show contributor and former model – who married in 2014 – recently celebrated their son’s first birthday. To commemorate the occasion, Lauren shared a video collage of moments over the year. “My little angel boy is 1 today • he is the most joyful, curious, routine-loving baby, and we could not love our little ryver rhodes more!!!”
