Actor David Henrie announced at the end of last year that he and his wife Maria Cahill were expanding their family. The This Is The Year star has now announced the arrival of his third child!
David and Maria welcomed a baby girl! When announcing their pregnancy last year, they shared that they had chosen to wait until their little one was born to learn their gender. The couple chose to name their daughter Gemma Clare Henrie. Gemma is an Italian name that means “Precious Stone” while Clare is an English name that means “Illustrious” or “Enlightened.” David shared an image of his whole family sitting on Maria’s hospital bed to announce the news. The couple shares two other children together: a daughter named Pia Philomena Francesca and a son named James Thomas Augustine.
The How I Met Your Mother alum gushed about his wife’s birth experience in his post writing, “Maria is currently enjoying the most deserved nap ever haha. She stuck to her plan l and had a drug free birth and I couldn’t be more in awe of her! Thanks be to God for the greatest gift on earth and Maria and I thank you all for your prayers. I received many messages and I really appreciate it.” The actor did not reveal his daughter’s birth date.
David and Maria first met while both were speakers at the Blog De Los Angeles event. The couple was smitten and tied the knot in April of 2017 in Wilmington, California. In honor of their 5th wedding anniversary this year, the Wizards of Waverly Place alum wrote on Instagram, “Marriage is the absolute best y’all. It’s crazy— I thought I couldn’t love my wife any more than on my marriage day, but it just keeps getting better! Especially when she turned into a superhero and dawned the cape of motherhood.”
Congratulations to David and Maria on the arrival of their third child! We wish them lots of love as they welcome Gemma into their family.
