The Resident star Emily VanCamp has taken on a new role: motherhood! The actress welcomed her first child with her husband and fellow co-star on her series Revenge, Josh Bowman. The couple had not previously announced that they were expecting.
Emily and Josh are the proud parents of a baby girl! They have chosen to name their first child Iris. “Welcome to the world our sweet little Iris,” the actress wrote in her caption. Iris is a Greek name that means “Colorful” and “Rainbow.” On welcoming her baby girl, Emily wrote, ” Our hearts are full.”
The Everwood alum shared a series of three black and white images to reveal the surprising news. The first image showed the couple holding baby Iris’ hand. The second image had Emily and Josh embracing and sharing a kiss while Josh cradled his wife’s baby bump. And the third image showed the glowing mama-to-be making a funny face in a doorway.
Emily and Josh met while filming on the set of the ABC series Revenge, which ran from 2011 to 2015. The couple began dating in 2011 and tied the knot in 2018. The couple typically keep their relationship very private. Emily, while she has an Instagram account, posts infrequently. Josh is not active on social media.
