Actress Bonnie Wright is a mom! Bonnie, most notably known for portraying the role of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter movie series, has announced the birth of her first baby with her husband Andrew Lococo. “Birth is the wildest experience!”

To reveal the news, the “Go Gently” author shared an image of her newborn wrapped in a brown blanket. Bonnie and Andrew welcomed a baby boy and chose to name him Elio Ocean Wright Lococo. Elio is a Spanish name that means “the sun” and, combined with his middle name, it’s a fitting choice for the couple, who are both outspoken about their love for nature and dedication to bettering the planet. “We’re all healthy and happy. Andrew and I are so in love with our sun.”

Bonnie revealed in her post that Elio was born at home on September 19th and she expressed her gratitude for her birth experience. “So grateful for our birth team that have held our hands throughout and made the journey so joyous and expanding. Birth is the wildest experience! Birth workers are amazing!” She then went on to express her gratitude for her husband, a businessman. “Lastly thanks to Andrew my rock throughout birth quite literally as I squeezed onto you so tight and you never wavered. Elio has the most tender loving papa. Ok hormonal emotional extra long caption over!”

The couple announced their pregnancy this past April, just over a year after they celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Bonnie and Andrew tied the knot in March 2022 at The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, California in an outdoor ceremony.

Congratulations to Bonnie and Andrew on the arrival of baby Elio! We wish them lots of love in their new role as parents.
