Riverdale star Casey Cott is a dad! The actor and his wife Nichola Basara, a fitness trainer, have announced the arrival of their first baby together. The little one was born on September 18th.
The actor, most notably known for portraying the role of Kevin Keller on the TV series Riverdale, posted an image of the couple in an elevator, with the new dad pushing holding a stroller and the new mom gazing at her little one. The couple welcomed a baby boy, news they previously revealed when announcing their pregnancy, and chose to name him Cashius “Cash” Michael Cott.
Casey’s fellow co-stars on Riverdale, which ended its 7-season run last month, took to the comments to congratulate the news parents. Actress Lili Reinhart wrote, “😭😭 congratulations. Love you so much.” Actress Cami Mendes commented, “congrats you two 🥹🎉 can’t wait to meet lil cash!!” Over three different comments, an excited Madelaine Petsch wrote, “AHHHHHHHH. congrats!!! i love you!!!”
When announcing their pregnancy, the Asking for It star commented on the fitting timeline as his CW show was coming to an end. “[It’s] such a beautiful thing. As one major milestone in our lives — Riverdale, along with our time in Vancouver — comes to an end, this beautiful new chapter is about to begin.” The couple tied the knot in December 2021, one year after becoming engaged. They were wed at the Four Seasons in Whistler, Canada.
