Reality star Kailyn Lowry is a mother of seven! The Teen Mom alum revealed on the latest episode of her podcast Barely Famous that she and her boyfriend Elijah Scott welcomed their baby twins. These little ones are Kailyn’s sixth and seventh children, her second and third with Elijah.
Kailyn announced in October that she was pregnant with twins and revealed in November their sex: one boy and one girl. This baby girl is Kailyn’s only daughter. During the podcast episode, Kailyn shared that her twins were 6 weeks old at the time of the recording and had been born 5 weeks early, but did not reveal their exact birth date. She also didn’t share the names of her little ones.
During the podcast, Kailyn detailed her birth experience and the twin’s NICU stay. The “Pride Over Pity” author had to have a c-section, which she had never had before, because her son was breech. “I was terrified, because I’m like, ‘I just don’t love this idea,'” she admitted. Her experience with the procedure caused her a great deal of stress due to the medication she was given. On the episode, she read a note she had written in her phone at the time. “I hated every minute of it, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.” In addition to having her c-section, Kailyn chose to have her tubes cut. “They cut my tubes out. I don’t regret it. But also if I did not get my tubes taken out and got pregnant again it would not…like it wouldn’t have upset me.”
The mom of seven went on to express the completion of her family. “The chapter of motherhood will be closing as far as baby-making, but I’m excited for my kids. Now I feel like our family is complete — I won’t have anything missing. I won’t feel like, ‘What if we had another one?’ I’m excited to explore this motherhood journey in terms of privacy and putting out what I want to put out. I’m excited for that.” She went on to reflect on how four of her children now share a birth month. “I’m a little nervous about having four babies in one month. I don’t know what birthday parties are going to look like, but I’m excited to see how this goes. Isaac is going to be driving before I know it, so it’s just a bunch of milestones all at one time — lots of new beginnings and also closed chapters, I feel.”
In addition to her new twin babies, Kailyn shares a son named Rio, born in 2022, with Elijah. The reality star shares two children with her ex Chris Lopez, Lux and Creed, a son named Lincoln with her ex Javi Marroquin, and her oldest son Isaac with her ex Jo Rivera.
