Television host Nick Cannon is growing his family once again! Nick confirmed the news on his talk show this morning following pictures circulating online from a gender reveal party this weekend. Model Bre Tiesi is the mother of Nick’s 8th child. This little one will be Bre’s first child.
This past weekend, Nick and Bre hosted a gender reveal party in Malibu for their little one. It’s a boy! The couple was donned in all white for the occasion.
This news comes less than 2 months after Nick tragically lost his 5-month-old son Zen to brain cancer in December 2021. Zen was Nick’s seventh child whom he shares with model Alyssa Scott. While announcing the news today, Nick revealed that he knew of Bre’s pregnancy at the time of Zen’s passing.
Nick opened up about the challenge he faced on how to share the news of this pregnancy following the loss of Zen. “So even going through all of that, this was always in the back of my mind, like, ‘What is the right time? How do I share this?’ No one, we didn’t expect Zen to pass away … All of the news was so unexpected. I wanted to definitely respect the grieving process with Alyssa, and Bre was respectful enough — She held off making our announcements and speaking on social media,” Nick continued. “She’s a very, you know, in the public eye type of person, but keeps her stuff private as well. And it was just one of those things like, you know, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to say when I was dealing with Zen or to hold off. Even right now, that it came out yesterday, that wasn’t planned to talk about it. We wanted to, you know, hold on as long as we can, but it happened. We here and I’m with my family I get to discuss it, I get to be open.”
In addition to Zen, Nick has six other children. He shares two children, 10-year-old fraternal twins, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey: a daughter named Monroe and a son named Moroccan Scott. He has two children with Brittany Bell, a son named Golden and a daughter named Powerful Queen. He shares another set of twins, two boys, with DJ Abby De La Rosa, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir.
