Congratulations to Nick Cannon, who just welcomed a baby boy! The America’s Got Talent host made the big announcement on Instagram, posting a first pic of his son and sharing his unique name.
In the photo, Nick holds his newborn tight, writing: “Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning! No matter how hard the world may hit you, God always reminds us of our purpose! #TrueHappiness.”
He added, “Welcome to Earth Son! Golden ‘Sagon’ Cannon 2/21/17 #Awakened.”
Golden’s mom is Brittany Bell. Nick explained to Power 106 hosts J Kruz and Krystal Bee, “Never an ‘oops baby.’ I’m so calculated with my moves…I’ve always wanted five kids,” adding, “Just because my marriage was over didn’t mean I couldn’t continue my family.”
Nick and Brittany grew up together, as he explained, “I wanted to make sure it was someone who was solid, spiritual and had the same views. She’s been in my life. Our families grew up in the same projects together in San Diego. So there’s a lot of substance there.”
Nick is also a dad to six-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe (Roc and Roe) from his previous relationship with singer Mariah Carey.
