Gender-neutral baby names have been on the rise over the last couple of years. Many celebrities have joined in on the trend, opting for gender-neutral names for their new arrivals. We’ve rounded up TK names celebrities have used to inspire your naming journey.
1. NFL player Trevor Lawrence and his wife Marissa gave their first baby, a girl, the moniker Shae. Athlete Naomi Osaka used the same moniker but a different spelling – Shai – for her daughter and actor Josh Peck used this spelling for his son.
2. The name Townes was popular with two celebrities in 2024. Actress Hilary Duff gave her fourth baby, a girl, the name and actor Alexander Ludwig named his second baby, a boy, by the moniker.

3. Dancers Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy chose a gender-neutral place name for their son: Milan.
4. Singer Shay Mooney and his wife Hannah gave their fourth son the name Aubrey. For many years, Aubrey was most popular as a girl’s name, but it’s also used for boys.
5. While generally considered to be a girl’s name, True is becoming common to use as a gender-neutral moniker. Khloe Kardashian chose the name for her first baby, girl. Rapper Da Brat and reality star Jed Duggar also used the name for their sons. Jed Duggar’s son’s full name is Truett, but he goes by True.

6. Reality star Khloe Kardashian chose a gender-neutral name for her second baby as well, her son Tatum. The moniker was also used for Tia Booth and Taylor Mock’s first son.
7. Actress Ashley Tisdale and her husband Christopher French chose the name Emerson for their second daughter.
8. River is a very popular gender-neutral name among celebrities. Celebs who named their daughter the moniker include athlete Derek Jeter and reality star Nick Viall. Actors Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Morgan and influencer Sophia Grace Brownlee also gave their sons the name. TV host Jason Kennedy used the moniker for his son with the spelling Ryver.

9. Jackson is a very popular moniker and while it’s often used as a boy’s name, actress Billy Lourd chose the moniker for her daughter with Austen Rydell.
10. Musician David Guetta and his partner Jessica Ledon named their first baby, a son, together Cyan. Model Adriana Lima used the moniker for her son as well.
11. Reality star Andi Dorfman and her husband Blaine Hart gave their daughter the name Harper.
12. Bachelor alums Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon chose the name Hayden for their second son.
13. Rio is another example of a name used by multiple celebrities. Actors Emily Van Camp and Josh Bowman gave their daughter the name while reality star Kailyn Lowry chose it for one of her sons. Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy also gave their son that name.

14. Another popular gender-neutral place name is Rome, used by Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy for their son and actresses Katie Stevens and Shay Mitchell’s daughters.
15. Ice skater Tara Lipinski give her daughter, her first baby with her husband Todd Kapostasy, the name Georgie, a diminutive form of George or Georgina.
16. Dylan has long been a popular gender-neutral name and was used most recently for actor Joey Lawrence’s daughter Dylan, whom he shares with Samantha Cope.
17. Actor Nicolas Cage and his partner Riko Shibata chose the name August for their first daughter together.
18. Influencer Desi Perkins and her husband Steven gave her daughter the gender-neutral moniker Harley.
