Lindsay Arnold, a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars, announced exciting news for her family today. Lindsay and her husband Samuel Cusick, high school sweethearts who wed in 2015, are expecting their second child! Their little one is expected to make their arrival in May 2023.
“We are beyond grateful and feel so blessed to be adding a new addition to our family,” Lindsay shared in her post. Her announcement photos were taken outside with a stunning fall landscape where the dancer was joined by her husband and their first child, a daughter named Sage Jill Cusick who was born in November 2020. On her mom’s pregnancy, Lindsay shared that “Sage cannot wait to be a big sister.”
In August, Lindsay revealed that she would not be returning to Dancing with the Stars for season 31. “This has been one of the hardest decisions to make but ultimately I have chosen what I feel is best for myself and my family.” She expressed her gratitude for the show as well sharing, “DWTS has been a part of my life for over 10 years now and when I say I love the show with all of my heart I mean it!! This show has changed my life forever and will always mean the world to me. It’s so important to me that you understand none of this has anything to do with my love for the show as that will NEVER change and it also doesn’t mean that this is the end for me and DWTS. Although this decision has been so hard to make I feel so much peace about it and know that it is the right thing to do.”
Lindsay revealed that the reason she wouldn’t be able to do the show is that it wouldn’t logistically work for their family. The dancer lives in Utah, where her husband works, and being on the show would require Lindsay to move to Los Angeles. The choice to separate their family didn’t work for them and she shared that they “exhausted every option we could think of to make it work but at the end of the day none of the options felt good in my heart or felt like the right thing for our lives right now.” She reassured her community that she would continue to support DWTS in their next season as well as continue running her online workout program The Movement Club.
