Fashion influencer Aimee Song took to Instagram to share a video announcing that she is pregnant! Aimee shared a video of her and her partner, Jacopo Moschin, sharing a kiss in front of the Duomo of Milan church. They turned their bodies toward the camera and Jacopo rubbed Aimee’s stomach to reveal a growing baby bump.
The New York Times bestselling author captioned the post, “Made in Italy, coming soon…” The video was set to the Ellie Goulding song “Still Falling For You.”
The comment section was full of well-wishes from fellow celebrities. Talk show host Jeannie Mai, who is also pregnant with her first child, wrote, “Ahhhhh what is happppppening this is AWESOME❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Actress Sophia Bush congratulated, “Ahhh! Congrats love! ♥️”
Aimee also shared an announcement video to her YouTube channel, where she documented the start of her pregnancy journey. In the video, the Capture Your Style author discussed her desire to become a mother. “I’ve always pictured myself being a parent, even though I couldn’t picture myself getting married. I’ve never been one of those people who pictured their wedding dress. I’ve never even pictured what an engagement would be like, but I always felt like I would always be a mom.”
She also revealed that she and Jacopo, a photographer, weren’t actively trying to get pregnant, though they had discussed having children together. Aimee was open about the discussion the couple had about starting a family. “Earlier this year,” she shared, “Jacopo and I were at crossroads on whether we want to continue our relationship or not. I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I told Jacopo I wanted to have children, but Jacopo was always unsure.”
After attending therapy together, which Aimee described as “intense,” Jacopo warmed up to the idea of kids. Jacopo revealed his concerns in the video. “I was afraid of the kind of father I could be to my kids.” His concern was rooted in his “nomadic” lifestyle that might stand in the way of providing a stable family foundation. “I wanted to have a good experience, not a bad experience,” he continued. “I’ve seen so many people having bad experiences with family and kids and so on. So that was a worry for me.”
Through all their fears and worries, the couple, who met six years ago during a trip to Morocco, are both “so excited” to be going on this journey together. Congratulations to Aimee and Jacopo on growing their family! We wish them all the best as they prepare to welcome their first child.
