Singer Kimberly Perry is a mom! The former member of the country trio The Band Perry announced that she and her husband Johnny Costello, a fellow singer, welcomed their first baby together last month. “Welcome to our world.”
Kimberly and Johnny are now the proud parents of a baby boy whom they have chosen to name Whit Costello. Whit was born in Nashville, TN on August 26th at 4:01 PM. “In one short week Johnny and I have moved from a season of BLOOM into a SUPERBLOOM,” she wrote in the caption of her announcement, referencing her new EP “Bloom.” She continued, gushing about motherhood writing, “Our lives have become sweeter, our days have become so much fuller, our sleep has gotten shorter – our house has truly become a home. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. It’s been such a sweet time getting baby Whit here safely and soundly and acclimating as a new family. We can’t wait to show him the world – this bus baby is ready to roll!
The couple, who tied the knot in June 2021, announced they were expecting this past April. At the time, the “If I Die Young” singer wrote, “I’m OVERFLOWING WITH JOY to share that Johnny and I are expecting our first baby. Building my own family is something I’ve dreamed about for as long as I can remember. As a woman and as an artist, I’ve always felt like I had to make a choice between growing my career and growing life. But YALL – I’m doin’ em both at the SAME TIME!! Here we go.”
